SciPy 0.9.0 issues

We're trying to run dogpicker on our cluster and have bumped into http://emg.nysbc.org/issues/1401, which appears to be an issue with scipy 0.9.0. Dogpicking works just fine on our SciPy 0.6.0 installation (single box), but not on systems where 0.9.0 is installed. It doesn't seem that this issue has been touched in quite a while, and we're wondering what can be done to get around it (aside from downgrading, which we can't do).

This is a known and fixed bug in scipy:
https://github.com/scipy/scipy/commit/40de735 Looks like it is fixed in 0.10.1 Want to give that a try?
