Description
- in Leginon 3.6, a change was made to divide the image into 4 areas and choose the highest intensity area for the thickness
- this was to avoid gold areas since they will throw off the thickness calculation
- this change adds the option to use the entire micrograph for cases where gold clipping will not be a problem

After discussing with Bill, we decide to revert to the old behavior with entire image as default. use best quadrant stats becomes an option.
I made the change to 00477563d in myami-3.6 branch. I will cherry pick it and the original back to trunk.
