This feature works by

  1. precalculate all beam-image shift required by the whole targetlist at the beginning of the process to reduce database interaction.
  2. eliminate all test of pausing within the targetlist.
  3. allow the database saving of the exposure to run parallel to frame processing of the camera. This means that that sum image stats calculation and saving is taken from the previous exposure.

Overall, this feature on Falcon4EC saves enough time to have Leginon perform close to Fast mode of EPU.

To use, replace beam-image shift Exposure node class of Acquisition with BatchAcquisition.

This feature currently is only useful on Falcon4EC.
