Description

Session 17jan26c. Have ctf results from gctf. This only gives package results, no 0.8 or 0.5 confidence. Transferred values from epn-a to epn-a-DW images.
When making stack, trying to use ctf 0.5 criteria to sort out bad images, get this error:

[0;36m17jan26c_a_020gr_00180sq_03hln_05epn-a-DW: no 0.5 resolution found

There is a software resolution estimation method for sorting in advance ctf options. Please try that.

I don't see advanced CTF options. From the interface it should be using ctf0.5 or software:

I realized I was able to change critereon only if ctf correction was enabled. I had disabled correction itself because the program refused to run with it on (error was that it could not correct tilted images). I did not collect tilted images but perhaps the tomograms collected after the single particle collection confused the program. After changing the correction to allow "small tilt angles only" it worked.

So it works now.

Bill,

Most ctf correction methods indeed do not work with tilted images. If ctf correction is not requested, I am not sure Appion will sort images with the criteria.

The validation does not not know what preset you chose in the form, but look for tilts in all images which is why it failed the validation. I will have to find a way to get around this. In the mean time, I will put in a work around by making the tilt processing option a basic option.

  • Target version set to Appion/Leginon 3.3

64b5c77 includes preset in the query. This should make it work right.
