The message: "preset sequence is not valid, correct it and continue" means:
a) You have no presets selected for this node
or
b) The preset(s) you have selected for the node do not exist in the presets manager
Here are the things you should check:
Click the settings icon of the Grid node to open up the settings dialog. The preset you will be using for grid should be listed in the white box under the "Presets Order" heading. If it is not there you have to select one from the pull down menu and click "+" to add it to the white box. In some nodes (probably not Grid) you may even add more than one preset to the presets sequence.
Sometimes you will have a preset listed in the white box that no longer exists, usually because your settings are preserved from a previous session, and the old session had a preset that is not in the current session. In this case, you will have to remove the old preset with the "-" button, and then add a valid preset as above.
If there are no prests listed in the pull down list, then you probably do not have any presets available in the PresetsManager. You need to add them to the Presets Manager either by creating them from scratch, or by importing them from another session.
