Focus node does not run in MSI-T Advanced
Added by Anchi Cheng about 10 years ago
From Thomas Klose
I started with the MSI-T Advanced Application because I remembered that this is what most of you used as a template. It is running fine, however, I am unable to tie in the Focus Node that would refine the focus based on the beam tilt before exposure. The only focus adjustment that is made is based on the Z height while taking the square images. How can I include the second focus node?

You might be caught at a revision where Issue #2887 was in effect.
The bug makes the default settings for "Exposure MultiMove" and "Exposure" incomplete.
Without redoing everything, you can try to restore the default settings for all users even if the bug is present with these steps:
1. Open and close 'Square' node Settings Dialog. This triggers a saving of the current values in it and propogate the workaround needed (creation of the missing database field).
2. Go to the web administrator tool page that reverts settings and click on "Revert the administrator's Node Settings to the original installation values".
It should reset it properly.
To check if this is true, open the Advanced settings for "Exposure MultiMove", and check to see if it looks like this (The option pointed by the arrow is the one making sure focusing is done):

Hi Anchi,
I used the workaround you described and it restored the settings as described above. However, the node would still not process the focus targets. I took a closer look at the Advanced Settings and realized that the Process ... targets dropdown was set to meter instead of focus. I have no idea how this happened, but after switching this to focus everything works now as intended.
