Atlas Error
Added by Colin Deniston over 6 years ago
Hi,
My lab mate Rick posted on here earlier about an issue with atlas generation in Leginon we are having after updating to 3.3. We took the steps suggested and thought the atlas issue had been solved but are now seeing the issue again randomly and periodically. The issue is that when we start atlas generation it typically gets 10 or so images in then throws the error I've attached in the image. If we wait and restart the atlas que it will sometimes continue fine to the end of the atlas or some times hits the error again after a few issues. This has not affect movement of any other kind and the higher mags. I have been able to perform a data collection once the atlas was completed without issue. Any idea what could be causing the issue now?
PS: I also attached an image of a screenshot I took while in the exposure targeting node. I noticed the crosshairs are now tilted in some of the nodes (exposure targeting and hole targeting) but not tilted in others (Z-focus, focus, exposure etc. nodes). Is this a new feature showing maybe the tilt axis of the scope or is this a potential bug? It has not effected targeting in any way that I can see so far.

Hi, Colin,
The error you see is an error thrown by the compustage mechanism. Have you been having problem moving the stage manually outside Leginon ? Do these error show up at a particular part of the stage more than others ? You can try to reach similar position with TUI position map to see if any error is displayed or if the position shown do not stablize. It looks like an instrument problem.
The tilted cross-hair displays the tilt axis. The one span the whole white canvas (the one closer to vertical axis) is the tilt axis. This is a new feature #5437. If you have suggestion on its behavior, please add it there.
