Leginon 1.4.0 + new license

Added by Jim Pulokas over 17 years ago

Leginon is now licensed under the Apache License Version 2.0. This license is available at: http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0

To designate this new license, and several major changes in code structuring, we have a new version of Leginon (1.4.0) available for download. This is a complete snapshot of our CVS tree as of July 31, 2007. I would label this release as almost stable. We are still in the process of documenting how to get this new version up and running. I will follow up this post with some hints on how to get started.

Unlike previous releases, there is now only one package (tgz or zip) that you need to download from us. Once unpacked, you will find several subpackages (Leginon, pyScope, etc). These are only the packages that we develop here, not the other dependencies such as Python, PIL, etc.

Changes include:

Apache License Version 2.0
Speed improvements (faster focusing, etc.)
Reorganized code (sinedon and pyami are new subpackages of Leginon)
Transition from numarray to numpy is nearly complete
