For specimen needing pre-exposure right before every exposure, this is not working out

Timing on first move need adjustment
Sequence of exposure not working in the right order on the first move to a new spot - screen goes down over previous spot for the pre-exposure, then navigator moves the stage to the new spot and immediately takes an image. Therefore image is still blurry. Is it possible to change this so that navigator moves to the new spot first, then screen goes down for pre-exposure, then image is taken?
Any secondary or further moves the screen goes down right before the image is taken and this is working very well.
