Feature #7653
opensaving/regenerate queue?
0%
Description
Session = 19jun05a, User = Radhika Malik, Institution = MSSM
On Wed 6/5/19 at 4:30PM, the user was finished manually targeting ~1500 exposure targets (lacy grid). She mentioned that the last set of images were very unfocussed, so my usual fix for this is to abort/abort queue in the exposure node. This usually bumps leginon to go to the next hole, which will trigger a new focus action. Unfortunately, I completely forgot that this user was queueing in the exposure node (and not the hole node, like most periodic hole grids). This made it so that I killed all ~1500 manually targeted exposures.
Is it possible to have an extra feature in the node where you are queueing (exposure node for this example, but would be helpful in hole node as well) that when you click the "abort queue" button, that you get a pop-up window in leginon asking "are you sure you want to abort the queue? you are about to kill ~1500 targets."
Alternatively, is there a way to save the queue or regenerate the queue after aborting it?
These features would be very helpful.

A confirmation button alone in my experience never really stop people from making the same mistake because they develop the habit of just hitting OK every time. The idea of doing so only if it is a large number is a reasonable one, though, so I will look into that. Regenerate queue is not a simple matter.
