Hi,
We have installed and upgraded to Appion 2.1.3. We are getting the following error message when trying to run ctf estimate. What other package do we need to install? Thank you.
- FATAL ERROR ***
ctffind64.exe was not found at: /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages

Hi Harry,
You will need to install ctfFind: http://emlab.rose2.brandeis.edu/ctf
The complete list of 3rd party packages we support is available here: http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/appion/wiki/Processing_Server_Installation

Hi Amber,
We have installed all the listed 3rd party packages.
For ctffind/ctftilt, there is no ctffind64.exe in the extracted directory. There was no instruction for adding the ctf directory in the linux enviroment or creating link to any of the .exe files. How is ctf installed in Scripps? Thank you.

Looks like there were historical reasons for us to rename the ctffind3.exe and ctftilt.exe files to ctffind64.exe and ctftilt64.exe for our installation AND these names are expected in our code base. What a shame.
To work around this, please rename the files or create a symbolic link to the *64.exe naming convention.
I will add a note about this in the installation documentation and hopefully we can address this issue better in a future version.
Thanks!
Amber
