Camera PC software vs. Microscope PC software?
Added by Patrick Goetz about 7 years ago
The documentation doesn't sufficiently distinguish what software needs to be installed on the camera PC and what software needs to be installed on the microscope PC. For example, this page:
http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/leginon/wiki/Windows_Myami_Configuration
talks about Windows Myami Configuration, but doesn't provide any clues if this is something you do on the camera or microscope PCs, or both.
This page: http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/leginon/wiki/Windows_Installation_All
seems to imply the Windows leginon software is being run out of a Vagrant box (based on example paths), but Vagrant isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation that I can find.

You put the basic software on both.
Regarding the Vagrant screenshot, I was just using a Vagrant box from my Mac to get Windows 7 running.

Regarding the instruction. You should follow it for both scope and camera up to the part it says
The following depends on what instrument is controlled by the computer
I see the flaw in the flow once you mention it. I will try to organize it better.
You will need to find the specific instruction for the instrument you have on that Windows PC in the list in Installation_on_the_instrument_computers
