I don't have experience with slurm, but Donny and Scott from FSU have run appion with slurm. See http://emg.nysbc.org/issues/3381 and http://emg.nysbc.org/issues/3891
I know it's not documented, but if you can code Python, you can make it work.

Hi,
So we do have a SLURM setup, but it's very different from the way Leginon/Appion are setup by default and how they are documented online. We have SLURM job submission working at FSU, but we have a custom websevice that submits and monitors jobs. My goal has been to document it and role it properly into Appion, but I've never been able to put in enough time to do it. Since there is at least someone else out there who is interested in this, I'll try to bump it up the priority list.
Best regards,
Scott
