multiple square submissions

One of our user submitted his squares targets multiple times. 3 clicks rather than one! It seems to have taken this to be 3X the targets. Is there a way to eliminate the extra versions of the targets? Will it go through the first batch and start on the next? If that is the case we can just wait it out.

Unfortunately, these are the hardest ones to remove without causing all of them to be removed. Leginon consider them as different targets in the same list, not as different versions of the same target in the list. Jim started an issue on this #1319 for future change consideration.
To not to loose your original picks, your idea is right. Wait for the first batch to finish and then you can use the abort tool in "Square" node.
If you don't mind repicking the targets, you can abort them all in "Square" node and then refresh the target display in "Square Targeting" and then pick the same targets again. However, the "refresh" process makes "Square Targeting" aware of the target locations already used before, so your new targets need to be offset from those (a pixel is enough), or they will not be processed when submitted.
In fact, if you "refresh" first, the targets don't get duplicated when you submit even if they are not processed yet. So, the best advice I have for now is to tell your user to remember to refresh first if he/she want to add new targets.
