Communication to clients unstable
Added by Bob Grassucci over 10 years ago
Since installing version 3.0 Leginon does not seem to properly release and connect with the clients. When we kill an application such as MSI-T the icons on the client computers do not go away and one must completely restart Leginon to release them before we can see them with another or the same application. We also had an issue where we published the atlas targeting and it did not communicate to the scope or K2 computer to begin collecting square images and move the stage. We are able to work around these problems by starting leginon again but it is a bit disturbing. This was not how it operated before.

I don't have an explanation for either. Can I have a bit more specifics ?
1. What is DM version now ? SerialEMCCD version ? svn revision number of myami package on scope/camera/leginon unix ?
2. Did the client instrument nodes stay for both scope and camera, or just one of them ?
3. When you publish atlas, did anything show up in the logger in Square node at all ? If not, it did not receive the published event which would be really strange.

- 1 GMS version 2.21.15860
SerialEMCCD-GMS2-64.dll version 1.0.0.1
Scope svn 1.6.10.19898
K2 svn 1.7.11 Build 23600 subversion 1.7.8
Linux svn 1.6.21 r 1462351 - 2 Both scope and camera icons stay
- 3 We are collecting now so the publish atlas issue has been worked around. When it happens again I will look for the message in the square node logger.
Thanks.
