Focus not finding peak

I am having a problem where the focus node does not seem to find an obvious peak in the correlation image. It keeps putting the orange cross in the wrong spot. By eye the peak looks obvious.

Could you try increasing the dose ? The other possibility is to redo gain references. If neither works, I will need to see the images and the correlation map.

I redid the gain and increased the dose which was on the low side. That did the trick. thanks.
