Leginon-3.2 not saving bright/dark/gain references
Added by Michael Cianfrocco almost 9 years ago
Hello,
We have installed leginon on our Talos-Artica microscope (thanks to Anchi's help!), and it can communicate with our linux machine that is running leginon. Furthermore, we are able to collect images from leginon and they will be written into our database and onto our dataservers correctly.
However, we noticed that leginon does not appear to be normalizing our images with bright and dark references, even though we are collecting them using the Correction node. Leginon says that it is saving the reference images, yet there is no folder in our leginon directory that is named [session]_ref_a. But, when we collect "Corrected" images, the images are not gain normalized. We are't sure what's going on.
Our data are coming from a Ceta camera - could this be the source of our problem?
We are confused because we know that it is not file permissions issues, nor database problems. Instead, it's the Correction node?
Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help!
Mike

Ceta and Falcon camera does can only pass Dark and Gain corrected images. Therefore there is no point in wasting time trying to do the correction. Therefore the code ignores any attempt in doing so. Do the images look bad ?

Ohhh! I didn't realize that (this is my first time using Leginon on an FEI camera). The gain reference didn't look too bad, though they need to be redone. But now we know to do them on the camera computer.
Thank you for the quick response!
