Restore calibrations from a previous Leginon 3.1 install to a new Leginon 3.2 install?

Added by Morgan Beeby over 7 years ago

Hi Anchi,

Me, again...

For various reasons I just made a fresh Leginon 3.2 install (instead of upgrading 3.1).

Is there any way I can transfer the calibrations from my previous 3.1 install to the 3.2 install? I have access to the drive with the old 3.1 install.

thanks!

Morgan

I wrote a couple of new scripts for doing calibration/settings transferring. The current version in trunk should work fine.

You will run http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/leginon/repository/changes/dbschema/tools/export_leginon_cal.py?rev=trunk on your old database (i.e., with sinedon.cfg assigned to it) that has the calibrations. it will give you a json file.
And then modify your sinedon.cfg to run http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/leginon/repository/changes/dbschema/tools/import_leginon_cal.py?rev=trunk

Hi Anchi,

Great, thanks. I wasn't able to get to this immediately but looks as if it'll be straightforwards.
