temcontroller node

Added by Jason Porta almost 7 years ago

We have recently installed and setup Leginon at the University of Michigan on our Artica and Krios microscopes. Everything is working well for automated data collection, however I am having difficulties using the open and close column valve options when I add the temcontroller node. Basically, when I send the preset to the microscope through the temcontroller, it gets stuck at the "Requesting preset..." stage. I was wondering if this particular node is still in development, as I see it was added recently to the repository. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Jason Porta

You need a pair of binding between Presets Manager and temcontroller node
TEM Controller --ChangePresetEvent-->Presets Manager
Presets Manager --PresetChangedEvent-->TEM Controller

They allow TEM Control to change preset and ,more importantly, to inform the new node the state of the microscope so that it is controlling the right microscope.

If you start Leginon and click on a tool button in TEM controller first before sending a preset to the scope, TEM controller may not know what TEM it is on since at the initialization, everything is set to None.

TEM Control is indeed in development, but all features you see on the panel do work.

Use the Refresh Tool to update the status before clicking a tool is recommended.
