tilt non zero after zfocus

Added by Bob Grassucci about 3 years ago

We are experiencing non zero tilts 1.5 degrees more or less sometimes after a z focus round in MSI-T2. The stage is not reset to zero. While this is not a big deal it is something that would be nice to address. Is this happening elsewhere and can it be resolved by Leginon or is the user forced to reset manually? Thank you.

I see that this was an issue https://emg.nysbc.org/boards/6/topics/2514?r=2515#message-2515

When we reset the stage manually it comes back to zero as requested. Should pyscope be altered as suggested?

The reason of the problem, depends on whether your observation happens as a jump or as a gradual deviation from the original.

If the latter, the solution we use is to active tilt like parent image in Hole node. This resets the stage when there is stage drifting on the same direction on the same requested value.

If the former, it would be a bug in specific condition. I am not aware of this happening in high frequency. Please show me the log around the log and more details to debug

I believe it is the latter of a slow drift. We will set the hole node as suggested. Thank you.
