Leginon on CentOS
Added by Anonymous almost 16 years ago
Presumably the group at Scripps is still using Leginon on SUSE and it is better tested on SUSE than other Linux distributions? Recently the IT staff at Leeds University have started encouraging us to change to CentOS (for reasons related to availability of security patches and other updates) rather SUSE. I am currently running Leginon on two different SUSE systems. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with running Leginon on CentOS (which is fairly close to RedHat Enterprise - it is closer to being an open source version of RedHat Enterprise than Fedora, I think) and if there are any problems with running Leginon on CentOS?

We also switched from SuSE to CentOS for the same reasons, so you should have no problem. We have been running Leginon on CentOS for several months, so it is well tested.
