Bug #1069
closedCluster Job Status not updating properly
0%
Description
The status page says my EMAN refinement on Guppy is queued when it is actually running. The elapsed time is stuck at 1 minute even after is has been running for hours. Also, when the refinement is finished it prompts you to copy files from DMF just as it does when you run on Garibaldi, but this is unnecessary for Guppy since its already on data00.

The "Get files from DMF" button shows up on the checkRefineJobs.php page even when the job was submitted to Guppy or Goby. This button should only exist when running on Garibaldi because Garibaldi is the only one that requires transfer from DMF. For now we can just ignore this button and go straight to "Upload EMAN results", but this should be fixed to avoid confusion.

- Status changed from New to In Test
- Assignee changed from Eric Hou to Lauren Fisher
- Target version changed from Appion/Leginon Future Version to Appion/Leginon 2.2.0
I'm moving the DMF issue to #1090 so this one can be closed out with the queue issue fix.
Lauren, can you confirm that you are no longer having the problem with queued status?
r15197 should fix it.

When a job is running the status update works fine now. However, if the job is queued it doesn't show up on the side menu. The screenshot shows two EMAN refinements I just submitted. emanrecon7 got queued and test1 is running. The status page is fine, but there's not a link under "EMAN Refinement" in the side menu telling me "1 queued" like there is for "1 running".
Amber, Should I open a new issue for this and close this one out? Or since it's related, should this get fixed within this bug?

Hi Lauren!
You can open the other issue for this and put this one on test. Put your new issue relate to this issue.
I think the problem relates to update or insert the status in to the database when you submit the job. When the job started, it will put the queued statue in the database, and once the job finished, it will update the database to complete.
Thanks.
Eric
