Description

Refactoring the code is part of our goal to make appion extensible. The focus is on readability and modularity. There are many overloaded terms and multiple variations of the same ideas. As we are working toward a plugin architecture we are looking for generalizations that can be made and common interfaces that can be implemented.

We can start by identifying terms that are commonly used throughout the code and defining them so that we can evaluate the best way to standardize them.

Update the developers guide with terms, definitions and variations.
