Bug #2250
closedpreset image shift alignment image from K2 linear mode is white
0%
Since the final exposure should be kept at zero image shift anyway, it is only used as the reference. You can ignore the white and just remember where the center feature is.
If you must see the feature, create a counted mode preset at dose right suitable for it at the same scope condition and use that as the reference preset in the alignment.
Description
The raw image Leginon received from DM has BinnedMultiplier of 1.0 which means the counts are higher when binned. linear mode at 0.5 s gives a dark image of mean at ~25k unbinned while the minimal exposure time is 0.125 s. As a result, when the image is used in aligning image shift of presets, the counts overflow and image appears white.
This is not a high priority bug for now since we only use it for final image and that it does not harm the detector. The saturation is only digital.
