We have been using:

import Image

but it is best to use:

from PIL import Image

removed references completely...assume they were not being used.

trunk/appion/bin/manualmask.py

removed the try/except. Why was it needed before and not now?

apCrud, Image/ImageDraw were imported but not used, must have been copied from another file.

manualmask: legacy code for compatibility with Leginon code change of 2 years ago.
