closedImport random defocus range when importing presets

Description
Hi Anchi,
When I import presets from a previous session, if there isa fixed defocus value for the exposure preset it is imported, but if there is a random defocus range set it is not.
This doesn't really matter except if the user doesn't realize and assumes that the random defocus range is whatever it was in the session the presets were imported from, in which case when one sends exposure to the scope it will keep the defocus at the value from the previous node (e.g. -50um in hole).
Would it be possible just to save/import the random defocus range by default? (I know it is a very minor issue!)
Cheers
Oli

I am surprised that you are the first one ever to ask for this. Maybe be because many people like to check the particles with fixed focus. It is an easy addition. I will make it an option to do it or not.

- Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
- Subject changed from Saving presets saves fixed defocus, but not random defocus range to Import random defocus range when importing presets
- Status changed from New to In Test
- Assignee set to Oliver Clarke
- Target version set to Appion/Leginon 3.4
The option is in PresetsManager settings. It is a checkbox labeled "Carry over random defocus range when importing presets". The default is not to do it based on other's feedback.
Oliver, please close the issue if it works the way you like. Should be there next time you use the scope.
