h1. Calibration without presets 


 Calibrations can be made without presets although not as conveniently. For each of the 
 calibration node, the following need to be done before the calibration or even before 
 acquiring a test image. 



 h2.    Select the TEM and Camera Configuration 





 *    Leginon/Some Calibraion Node/Toolbar> Click the "Settings" button !http://emg.nysbc.org/software/leginon/images/icons/settings.png!. 


 *    Leginon/Same Calibration Node/Settings> Override Preset = yes 


 *    Leginon/Same Calibration Node/Settings/Instrument> TEM = your microscope; CCD 
 Camera = your CCD camera 


 *    Leginon/Same Calibration Node/Camera Configuration> Choose according to your 
 need. Usually a highly binned configuration that uses the whole camera. 


 *    Leginon/Same Calibration Node/Camera Configuration> Click OK to save and close 
 the window. 


 *    Leginon/Pixel Size/Same Calibration Node> Acquire a test image with the camera 
 tool!http://emg.nysbc.org/software/leginon/images/icons/acquire.png! to confirrm that the TEM and camera settings are valid.
