Clean up DE or K2 frames
Added by Anchi Cheng over 11 years ago
From Rui Zhang;
Is it possible to create a preset named "delete" in leginon? We are getting more and more data, so it would be nice to routinely clear up the frames marked as "delete". I understand there is "hidden" preset, but something a image is bad for data processing, but not bad enough to be deleted.

Hidden is not a preset. It is a status we assigned to the image
Are you talking about something beyond Using_Gatan_K2_Summit_in_Leginon
Not sure what you really want. Do you mean that you want to delete frames but not hiding it? Or
do you mean that you want to hide but not deleting its raw frames?

Hi, Anchi,
Sorry about the confusing.
I personally mark any "en" images that I don't want for subsequent data analysis as "hidden", e.g. images of protein aggregates, but I just want to hide them rather than delete them because they may be useful for other purpose.
And there are bad images we know for sure that we won't need them in the future, e.g., empty areas or bad ice.
I hope leginon has a "delete" status, so users can mark their unwanted images (with associated frames) as "delete", then our system administrator can run some script to routinely delete those images and frames to save space.
