Bug #1573
closedCL2D has ben crashing on guppy
0%
Description
I have been consistently getting errors for the last couple days from CL2D, where the Xmipp program (NOT Appion) aborts the run. I have seen this on multiple datasets now, and I cannot run my jobs with the desired number of class averages. This doesn't seem like an Xmipp issue. Have there been any changes / upgrades to Guppy lately, or the way in which we handle jobs, e.g. MPI, memory allocation, subprocess handling within python ...?
To see the errors, check, e.g.:
/ami/data00/appion/12feb17b/align/cl2d10/xmipp.std
or:
/ami/data17/appion/09nov05a/align/cl2d18/xmipp.std

Looks like a problem allocating memory. Could it have run out of available memory?

alignment parameter - I used 'correntropy' instead of 'correlation' ... it must have not liked something about the data. Weird, as I have never seen this before, but it independently didn't work for two different datasets.
