If you try to set the BASE_PATH in config.php to the web server's document root it doesn't resolve login.php correctly.
For example, my document root in the webserver is /srv/www/html. When checking out myamiweb from svn I do svn co http://ami/svn/myami/trunk/myamiweb . in the document root directory. Then if I set BASE_PATH to "" or "/" then when I go to http://webserver.domain.com I get redirected to http://www.login.php/?ln=/index.php. I can get around this by making myamiweb a sub directory and added a redirect to the webserver config but it would be better not to have to do it that way.

Yes, you are right. The current setup does not work if you want the myamiweb to be the main domain site.
I am not sure why it setup this way at the beginning when people start this project. There are lots of place use 'BASE_URL' to determine the location of the page and all the different redirection. And when I try to change it to setup as main domain, the sub-domain will not work.
Are you going to use myamiweb as main domain site in the new webserver?
