If you try to set the BASE_PATH in config.php to the web server's document root it doesn't resolve login.php correctly.
For example, my document root in the webserver is /srv/www/html. When checking out myamiweb from svn I do svn co http://ami/svn/myami/trunk/myamiweb . in the document root directory. Then if I set BASE_PATH to "" or "/" then when I go to http://webserver.domain.com I get redirected to http://www.login.php/?ln=/index.php. I can get around this by making myamiweb a sub directory and added a redirect to the webserver config but it would be better not to have to do it that way.
