Spider no ref alignment failed twice

Description

I tried to run spider no ref alignment last night on a stack of particles from last Krios run (session 16sep09g) and it failed twice with two different (I think) error messages both equally cryptic (to me al least). The log files are in /gpfs/appion/gscapin/16sep09g/align/noref6 and /gpfs/appion/gscapin/16sep09g/align/noref7. I am running CL2D on the same stack and it has not failed (yet :-))

I've looked at the error log and the error messages are cryptic indeed. This happens because spider failed for some reason. Someone who knows the guts of spider might be able to figure this out. I see that the CL2D job has finished successfully and that's good workaround. Perhaps we collect cases here with information on when spider works and when it fails to better understand this issue.
