• Appion Version 3.3 Road map

• This version updates packages used in frame-alignment, ctf estimation, and particle picking, and stack making. These are regularly used and should be robust.
• Some of the 2D analysis feature are deprecated.
• We do not have the user and developer force to keep 3D reconstruction of the pipeline up to date any more. The use of these is no longer supported.*

New package support added¶

• MotionCor2
• Gctf
• Gautomatch as template picker
• Relion 2.0/1.4 2D maximum likelyhood alignment (incomplete)
• Protomo2

Major function added¶

• Phase plate analysis support in CTFFInd4, Gctf
• Complet Protomo2 workflow
• New Image Rejector that rejects also the siblings.

Minor function added¶

• Particle pick and/or ctf star file download in star format compatible with Relion 1.4/2.0
