Latest version of Chimera cannot generate images on CentOS

Description
Latest version of Chimera cannot generate images on CentOS
Using both methods of Xvfb (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xvfb ) and the headless version of Chimera fail to produce images.
Xvfb launches correctly and Chimera loads, but then complains that the bit depth is not 24 bits (which it is according to glxinfo)
The headless version of Chimera seg faults on the image_save function.
We are waiting for Greg at UCSF to diagnose this problem.
Message from Greg at UCSF Chimera:
Hi Bridget,
The headless chimera bug is next in my queue. In the mean time, I've added the 1.4.1 release candidate verisons to the Unsupported Releases section of the chimera download page, <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/download.html#unsupported>. And in my simple test, creating an image with the 1.4.1 version works.
If you come across any bugs that only affect the headless version of chimera, don't hesitate to report them. We don't test it very often and bugs slip through.
- Greg

Greg fixed bug 8338, but then it crashes on image generation.
The Chimera team has released a new version of the headless client on May 6, 2010 that is supposed to work. I will test it when I get a chance.
