h1. Ab Initio Reconstruction 

 This section contains procedures for calculating initial models from tilted and untilted datasets. 

 h2. Tilted Data Initial Model Procedures: 

 # [[RCT Volume|Random Conical Tilt Reconstruction]]: Obtain 3D structure from tilted data    (typically -55,0). 
 # [[OTR Volume|Orthogonal Tilt Reconstruction]]: Obtain a 3D structure from data collected at 2 tilts (typically -45,0,45) 


 h2. Un-Tilted Data Procedures: 

 
 # [[EMAN Common Lines|EMAN Common Lines Reconstruction]]: Obtain a 3D structure from untilted 2D data containing randomly oriented molecules. 
 # [[IMAGIC Angular Reconstitution|IMAGIC Angular Reconstitution]]: Obtain a 3D structure from untilted 2D data containing randomly oriented molecules.
