Install Protomo¶

The "protomo" package contains programs and shell scripts for electron tomography of thin specimens. Developed by H. Winkler, et. al. at Florida State University.

The package is available at

http://emg.nysbc.org/projects/appion/files

To use it with Appion, the environment variable PROTOMOROOT need to be set to the installed package and its bin and (x86_64/bin or i686/bin) directories need to be in user's path.

Appion scripts do not use the user interface come with the package, just the shell scripts and programs called by them.
